Abstract
Improving the efficiency of thermoelectric materials is a key challenge in the pursuit of sustainable energy solutions, particularly for recovering waste heat through solid-state devices. Among the most promising strategies, nanostructuring two-dimensional (2D) materials has emerged as a way to overcome the intrinsic limitations of conventional bulk materials. In this work, we investigate the impact of nanostructuring on the electric and thermoelectric properties of multilayer graphene. The internship was carried out at the MPQ (Matériaux et Phénomènes Quantiques) laboratory of Université Paris Cité, in collaboration with the TELEM group, which focuses on charge and heat transport in Van der Waals heterostructures.
Several FET-like (Field Effect Transistor) devices were fabricated, incorporating hBN/graphene heterostructures
