Redefining Digital Workspace Security with Enterprise Browser: security evaluation, comparative analysis, and experimental validation.
Rel. Cataldo Basile. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Cybersecurity, 2026
Abstract
In the last decade, the modern enterprise workspace shifted from the physical office perimeter to the web browser, which is now used as the primary access for corporate data, SaaS applications, internal applications, and internet navigation. In this context, the Browser can become the first and last line of defense against insider and outsider threats. Some years ago, the browser wasn’t even a real enterprise application; it was meant for browsing, shopping, streaming, and socializing. It was built for the consumers and advertisers, not for organizations and their employees. Because of this, working on a classic "consumer browser" requires being surrounded by agents, proxies, and other IT solutions that fit in the enterprise environment.
The result is a complex and fragile systems that often lead to disruption, delays, and frustration
