Abstract
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) carrier-phase measurements provide a very high level of positioning accuracy, often reaching the centimeter level. This degree of precision is essential for demanding applications such as geodesy, surveying, autonomous navigation, and precision agriculture. Carrier-phase positioning relies on tracking the phase of the received satellite signal with high fidelity. However, despite their strong potential for precise positioning, carrier-phase measurements may be affected by sudden discontinuities known as cycle slips. Cycle slips correspond to abrupt changes in the integer number of carrier-phase cycles between a satellite and a receiver. They are typically caused by signal obstructions, multipath effects, temporary loss of receiver tracking, or atmospheric disturbances.
Even a single undetected cycle slip can introduce significant errors into the estimated position, velocity, and time solution, thereby compromising the reliability of high-precision GNSS applications
