Abstract
This thesis was developed during a six-month internship within the Cabin Interiors team of the Cabin Engineering Department at IVECO Group. In an increasingly challenging and competitive commercial vehicle market, the company’s objective is to deliver products capable of fully meeting customer expectations in terms of quality and performance. A key success factor in achieving this goal is an effective and efficient Requirements Management process. Following the introduction of the Model-Based Systems Engineering, the Requirements Management system underwent significant changes, leading to the decentralization of technical requirements development. However, the absence of a common and structured methodology may generate misunderstandings among stakeholders and often results in the definition of technical targets only in the later stages of the 3D design process, increasing development time.
To address these issues, this thesis proposes the adoption of the Quality Function Deployment methodology, as described in ISO 16255, to improve the current requirements management system and provide a shared framework for translating customer needs into engineering specifications
