Abstract
Low voltage automotive eFuse benchmarking and analysis via simulations and measurements thesis aims to compare three low-voltage wire-protection devices in the automotive sector that use integrated smart FETs with advanced protection logic to replace fuses. This thesis focus on benchmarking fuse specific energy passing through protection methodologies of three big competitors in electrical automotive sector starting from experimental validations and comparisons with data from datasheet, experimental validation with different representative current load profiles. Ending with the recreation of specific energy passing through protection methodologies on Simulink models and MATLAB scripts used for critical test current profiles approach, comparing the same equivalent accumulated thermal energy status.
