Abstract
Nowadays, attention has become increasingly focused on the safety of electronic devices. Modern power electronic systems require fast and accurate protection and control devices to ensure safe operation under various conditions. In this context, Infineon Technologies has developed a new component, named SPOC Smart Guard, whose performance and robustness need to be assessed and compared with an existing solution from Analog Devices Inc., named MAX20087. This comparison is crucial to identify the advantages and possible limitations of the Infineon device, as well as to guide future optimization and development activities. The scope of this thesis is to perform an experimental and analytical comparison between the two devices.
A series of tests were designed and carried out to evaluate specific performance aspects
