Abstract
The growing complexity of manufacturing systems and the need to react quickly to market dynamics make the optimization of Project Management processes increasingly important for industrial companies. This thesis, developed in collaboration with Atlas Copco – ABAC, analyses and improves the technical processes along the “Concept to Product” (CtP) path, with the goal of increasing operational efficiency, reducing cycle times, and improving the quality of information used to support decision-making. The work is structured into three main areas. The first focuses on the standardization and automation of the tools used in the early project phases, with particular attention to cost estimation, variant management, and the creation of the Prototype BOM.
Through the definition of optimized Excel models, the use of advanced formulas, and the development of dedicated macros, it was possible to significantly reduce manual activities, improve traceability, and increase data consistency between Engineering and Purchasing
