The thesis will be about an innovative bio-based material, that is the Transparent Wood (TW). Thanks to its optical properties, it has a promising position within the built heritage and retrofitting interventions, aiming at providing a more sustainable approach to the building sector. The thesis will also provide a contribution in testing the resistance of TW under UV radiation, which is still an open debate.
