This master’s thesis, developed within the automotive engineering program at Politecnico di Torino and in collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., focuses on the design and development of a multifunction unit prototype indeed for integration within the interior of vehicles. The main objective of the project was to create a 3D CAD model of this unit, considering not only its visual and aesthetic design but also its ergonomic properties, functional layout and integration of mechatronic components. The work began with a comprehensive user analysis, based on a survey distributed to a sample of Automobili Lamborghini employees. The goal of this initial phase was to gather feedback on current elements of human machine interface in the vehicles, identifying the most appreciated features as well as critical issues encountered in a real-world static use.
