Abstract
Sports-related injuries are still a big concern, so effective rehabilitation strategies are needed to ensure athletes recover well and perform at their best. This master’s thesis outlines the development of a quasi-real-time biomechanical analysis system tailored specifically for sports rehabilitation applications. The proposed system aims to address the current limitations of existing biomechanical analysis tools by providing immediate feedback to both athletes and healthcare professionals. The research begins with an exploration of running mechanics and the biomechanical factors that contribute to running-related musculoskeletal injuries. Understanding these elements is crucial for developing effective rehabilitation protocols. The study then delves into the potential of real-time biofeedback in sports rehabilitation, emphasizing its role in enhancing both patient outcomes and clinical practice.
