Abstract
This thesis presents a complete system for controlling an asynchronous motor, integrating a custom-designed encoder support, an inverter, a Nucleo board, and the motor itself. The encoder support was modeled using CAD software, 3D-printed, and incorporated into the system to provide rotor position feedback. Various control strategies were implemented and tested. Initially, basic V/Hz and I-Hz control methods were used to calibrate the hardware, verify basic functionality, and tune the current loops. After these preliminary tests, advanced Field-Oriented Control (FOC) techniques were applied using the mounted encoder. Real-time firmware corrections were implemented to adjust the encoder reading, ensuring precise motor control.
