Abstract:

Today's policymakers, in the field of energy supply, have to navigate complex physical, economic, environmental and social scenarios, and need to understand as well as possible the multivalent impact of their decisions. Decision support systems are used to support them in their endeavour. Thanks to recent technological advancements decision support systems are evolving also to make use of extended reality. A proof of concept for an interactive, immersive data visualization application was developed for the Energy Center Lab, paying attention to ease of use and performance, using the Unity game engine.
