Abstract
This thesis examines the impact of suppliers' lead time on the automotive supply chain using a linear regression based analysis. The objective is to explore the relationship between lead time and relevant variables such as distance from suppliers, category of goods supplied, unit cost, quantities received and discrepancies in deliveries. Through the use of statistical techniques, we analyze how these variables interact with each other, with particular attention to how lead time affects supply chain processes. The study focuses on the interpretation of correlations emerging from the data collected, with the aim of providing a clear picture of the dynamics characterizing the relationships between suppliers and manufacturers in the automotive sector.
The results provide an analytical basis for better understanding of the impact of delivery times on supply chain management.
