Abstract:

This thesis describes the implementation of a system that is able to execute a G-code program on a resin dosing machine with Siemens PLC. The project was developed at Demak Group Company in Turin, a leader in the production of systems for mixing and dosing epoxy and polyurethane resins. The thesis focuses on the update of the Demak machine with Siemens PLC, allowing the management of complex paths through the interpolation of the axes and the dosage of resin in non-linear paths according to G-code instructions. The software is able to interpret and execute multiple G-code programs, improving the efficiency and flexibility of the production process. Additionally, a custom Human Machine Interface (HMI) has been designed to simplify interaction with the operator. This thesis aims to create more documentation on the interpretation and execution of G-code on Siemens PLC.
