Abstract:

The study aims to explore the correlation between the geometrical characteristics of masonry arch bridges and their dynamic behavior, specifically focusing on modal frequencies and mode shapes. Using 3D solid element finite element (FE) models, we will parametrize various geometrical aspects of masonry arch bridges and conduct modal analyses to capture their dynamic properties. These findings will then be applied to real-world bridges.
