Abstract:

Magnetic damping and spin pumping at Cobalt/bidimensional materials interfaces: in this internship in the TELEM team (Université Paris Cité), we will study how the possibility of modulating the extrinsic mechanisms of dissipation of ferromagnetic resonance in Cobalt by proximity effect in two-dimensional materials such as graphene and Transition-metal dichalcogenides like WSe2, with possibly the adding of various molecules at the interface by using electrochemistry processes, with a view to generating and controlling pure spin currents in these materials for spintronic applications. This experimental internship covers all the activities required for experimental research in mesoscopic physic, from devices design, fabrication, characterization to data acquisition and analysis.
