Abstract
This thesis explores the application of Building Information Modeling (B.I.M) methodology in the design, optimization, and augmented reality (AR) integration of a Cable-Stayed bridge. The study focuses on achieving structural efficiency, optimal design choices, and technological innovation through the implementation of BIM principles. Key considerations include material selection, such as the utilization of HEB sections for the steel deck, and the optimization process, which employs genetic algorithms to reduce the overall weight of the bridge while maintaining structural integrity. In the design and modeling stages, standard software tools such as SAP2000 and Tekla are utilized to ensure accuracy and precision. MATLAB is employed for the optimization process, enabling the exploration of various design configuration and material choices.
Augmented reality is utilized to visualize various phases of the construction process and facilitate maintenance activities
