The thesis comprehensively analyzes the revolutionary impact of additive manufacturing technology on supply chain management. By studying the principles, key technologies, and application advantages of additive manufacturing in different industries, it explores how this innovative technology can simplify logistics operations, reduce transportation costs, and achieve on-demand production and personalized customization, thereby improving customer satisfaction. The thesis also focuses on the potential impact of additive manufacturing on traditional supply chain models, including its contribution to environmental sustainability and waste reduction. Additionally, we examine the challenges of implementing additive manufacturing, such as supply chain integration, technology constraints, human resource requirements, and regulatory considerations.
