This thesis project delves into the comprehensive analysis of the ulexite exploitation process, from mine extraction to final product, with a focus on technical enhancements while considering bureaucratic and social constraints. Initially concentrating on the Laguna Salinas mine and the Rio Seco plant in Arequipa, Peru, the study examines planning operations, raw material extraction, treatment processes, and transfer logistics. Special attention is given to the interconnectedness of these units within the Inkabor company and the challenges they face, including environmental factors, transportation costs, and community relations. Through meticulous assessment, it is revealed that the primary hurdles lie in external circumstances rather than internal inefficiencies.
