Abstract
The world's population has been steadily increasing, and it is expected to reach 10 billion people by 2050. Advances in agricultural technology, such as genetically modified crops, precision agriculture, and data-driven farming, have played a fundamental role in increasing agricultural productivity to meet the demands of a growing population. In an effort to implement new solutions, this thesis is carried out in collaboration with Wirail S.R.L, with the goal of integrating new functionalities to their existing system. In particular, the goal is to develop a cloud-based web application aimed at assisting farmers in the management of their agricultural production. This will be achieved by offering real-time monitoring of weather and soil parameters, thereby providing them with valuable information to make pivotal decisions.
This thesis represents an important stride towards a more sustainable and technology-driven future for agriculture, emphasizing the essential role of data-driven decision-making in ensuring food security, resource conservation, and environmental responsibility
