Abstract: |
The thesis topic spans around the energy analysis for in-situ utilisation of space debris. It is expected to tackle the energy sustainability of space debris recycling on the Moon, make a trade-off of processes, and perform an exergy analysis in order to ensure a sufficient level of sustainability of the entire process. After an in-depth literature study, the exact cycle for the capture, processing and utilisation of the required space debris will be assessed as well as the baseline quantities for the amount of energy required for such activities. Furthermore, a preliminary design of an energy-efficient process will be evaluated. |
