Abstract:

RPA technology fits into the era of digital transformation, in which it is necessary to eliminate any human intervention. Robotic process automation is aimed precisely at automating processes in order to remove those activities that are so manual, repetitive and based on fixed rules, in order to lay the foundations to then be able to digitize everything else. But since it concerns IT area, which is rapidly progressing, not keeping up with technology there is the risk of falling back into inefficiencies and the expected benefit may not reflect the one obtained. In this paper reference will be made to the experience gained in Santander Consumer Bank s.p.a., since one of the most mature sectors for RPA is fincancial-banking.
