Abstract
In order to achieve Net-Zero global emissions by 2050, which is the core of the road plan for keeping global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius over preindustrial levels, the automotive sector is crucial. To tackle this challenge, many original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have established high decarbonization goals. Emissions from vehicle materials will rise both totally and proportionally as tailpipe emissions decline, eventually making up a larger portion of life-cycle emissions. On the road to the carbon-free car, this jump offers both a challenge and a chance. It is essential to create measures to deal with these material emissions now because achieving large-scale decarbonization will take time.
Participants in the industry must accept and scale the usage of new technologies and the processes that go along with them while managing shifting material flows as part of this process
