Analysis of REACH environmental legislation and related costs affecting companies: the case of eco-toxicological standards in the textile, clothing, leather, and footwear sectors

The thesis shows an overview of the environmental legislation REACH and in detail the modalities of how the law is applied. In the second part a distinction between "Porter’s Hypothesis" and the concept of "Greenwashing" with particular attention to the variables that influence the choices of ecological consumption by consumers. Finally, in the last section, a comparative analysis between Europe and the United States of eco-toxicological standards in the textile, clothing, leather, and footwear sectors.
