Rel. Andrea Tonoli, Giacomo Dal Piaz. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Automotive Engineering (Ingegneria Dell'Autoveicolo), 2022
Abstract: |
This thesis has been developed through a High Training Apprenticeship carried out in Sabelt S.p.A., a company leader in seating and restraint systems for high-performance vehicles and racing applications. The scope of this thesis is then to analyze the development of an all-new FIA 8862-2009 advanced racing seat according to the technical specification of the client: Ferrari. The developed seat is called GT-X and it represents Sabelt’s flagship seat and has been specially developed in partnership with Ferrari Competizioni GT for their new 296 GT3 racing car. Therefore, the aim of this project is to give an overview of the design, development, testing, and homologation phases of a racing seat starting from the target set by both Sabelt and its client. |
