The revitalisation of urban villages as an important urban design issue is a diverse and complex topic with high research value. "Both 'pedestrian friendliness' and 'streetscape' emphasise the experience of the human visual dimension, with comfort and aesthetics of the street among the important design objectives. Streetscape quality is also an important factor in the pedestrian friendliness index.
