Development of Training Courses on Evaluation of Measurement Uncertainty: Analysis of Needs of the Italian Accreditation Body.
Rel. Domenico Augusto Francesco Maisano. Politecnico di Torino, Master of science program in Engineering And Management, 2022
Abstract
Measurement uncertainty is a key quality parameter for expressing the reliability of measurements and thus key to the European Grand Challenges in health, environment and energy. An understanding of measurement uncertainty is the basis for trustworthy measurements from the highest scientific level all the way down to the shop floor. ACCREDIA and NSAI (National Standards Authority of Ireland) have recently signed the Consortium Agreement to participate in an unfunded Activity called MU Training, MATHMET, an action to improve quality, efficiency and dissemination of measurement uncertainty training. This thesis is based on the activities carried out by ACCREDIA. The information were collected from the Italian accreditation body, which are basically, the current needs of the stakeholders, who are the laboratories and the technical assessors.
In the end, the efforts are in the direction of developing training courses on evaluation of measurement uncertainty.
