Abstract:

The thesis argoument is the coding of an algorithm to perform the shape optimiztion of a roof structure, based on the form-findig procedure combined with the use of evolutionary algorithms. The algorithm was developed with Grasshopper of Rhino7 and use the plug-in Kangaroo2 for the form-finding and Galapagos as evolutionary solvers. Some structural analyses of the structure are performed with Karamba3D. At the end of the thesis some analyses to define some structures with different characteristics are performed.
