Abstract:

The objective of this projects is to evaluate with a global overview the application of the business model associated to the BSS (battery swap stations). For BSS it is intended a location where a vehicle, powered by an electric battery can go in every moment to substitute its own battery with a replenished one. Through recollection of the main elements of the BSS, all the main parties involved in the business and the techno-economical environment, a model of the BSS’s operation will be developed in different situations. Many models already exist describing the operation of the system, but always considering only a fragmented description of the problem and mainly in closed environments with a fixed number of users, not considering applications on a large scale. By reviewing the environment in which the BSS will be applied, a set of data generated through simulation will be compared to nowadays conditions of the market to estimate the viability of the business in the short term.
