Abstract:

The thesis aims at creating an one dimentional and two dimensional axisymmeteric model of a reactor for the production of synthetic methanol, starting from carbon dioxide and hydrogen. After a first introduction on the current state of art of the technologies used, the model has been produced and validated with the data fuond in literature. Then, a termal integration of the overall plant has been studied and two possible way of capturing the carbon dioxide have been analyzed.
