Abstract:

Press hardened steels are used for car-body parts to improve the car safety and reduce its weight. In the thesis, the press hardening process is examined and the possible use of Niobium as a microalloying element in this context is discussed. Moreover, two pres-hardened steels, with and without Niobium, are examined.
