Abstract:

This MSc Thesis project is focused on the improvement of an existing Preventive Maintenance plan within the Pirelli plant in Settimo Torinese. Continuous improvement methodologies were applied starting from the knowledge of the previous conditions of the installed curing press machines and related Key Performance Indicators of the department till the design of a new maintenance plan together with proposal for self-diagnosis instruments to be installed on machines, creation of a Standard Operating Procedures portfolio, training of conductors and maintainers of the machines and the implementation of these maintenance operations on the CMMS platform
