Abstract:

The thesis deals with some improvement actions performed in the Sabelt plant, located in Moncalieri, where OEM seats are manufactured. In the first section the product and the processes are analyzed, highlighting the need of an higher flexibility and better flows of materials and information within the plant. For this reason, a SMED activity will be designed and optimized in order to increase line flexibility. Furthermore a MES-like tool has been developed, following the ISA-95 standard for a better flow of information and a feasibility analysis is held over AGV introduction on the plant.
