Abstract
The present thesis contemplates the urge for change in the construction industries of the so-called Global South countries. The goal is to qualify architecture as a means of social ascent. By enabling the approach of low technology to be used as an educational tool, it aims to result in a project capable of positively impacting the social, economic, and sustainable areas. ??The focus is the vacant sites of Bouaké city centre emerging by the Central Market Project for the city of Bouake in Ivory Coast. The report’s analysis and studies conclude that the market’s project will generate empty spaces due to financial cuts.
??The contexts create the opportunity to use self-construction as the project principle
