Abstract:

In the context of social impact investments, the aim of this research is to analyze the role played by investors characteristics in the social investment choice. The research starts from theory about social investments (what they are, what makes them different from financial investments or philanthropic activities) and a literature review on the role played in general by teams in the investment decision choice. A structured dataset containing information on social investors is then analyzed, descriptive statistics are highlighted to understand what drives investment decisions and if the principles valid in the case of purely financial investments are also valid in the case of social ones.
