The general topic of the thesis is to describe the Italian business angels (BAs) ecosystem, trying to map it and then segment it according to variables related to the kind of investment (Profit-Oriented, Hybrid, Impact-Oriented, Impact First, Financial First), to their experience (Virgin, Beginners, Experienced), to the nature of contribution they offer to the startups (Active, Passive). The final goal is to shed light on the different types of Italian BAs.
