Abstract:

The aim of this work is to provide a general approach for automatic generation of control parameters valid for any Synchronous Reluctance (SyR) machine, starting from the given motor data. Different control methods are analyzed, both encoder-relying and sensorless techniques. A Field Oriented Control is employed. Moreover, a full-speed sensorless control scheme is implemented, based on high frequency voltage signal injection, Active Flux (AF) and Adaptive Projection vector for Position error estimation (APP). The control is validated simulating three different SyR machines. Finally, the work is implemented in the software Syr-e, in the form of a new feature of the software, Syr-e Drive, capable of simulating a default speed and torque sequence for dynamic response evaluation of the selected control for the given SyR motor.
