Rel. Guido Perboli. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Informatica (Computer Engineering), 2020

Abstract:

Nowadays the blockchain technology is exploited in many sectors, from the classics linked to the cryptocurrency up to the food and healthcare ones. Another important area is the one referring to the Supply Chain: with the help of blockchain, standard mechanisms can be overcome, in favour of a more secure and decentralized one. This work firstly concentrates on a feasibility study for the supply chain for electric batteries, tracing them through the chain steps, trying to avoid security issues (e.g. counterfeiting) and providing more data transparency. An analysis on the possible frameworks (exploiting pros and cons) has been conduct, and it has lead to the choice of Sawtooth. Then, an example system has been implemented, in order to simulate some steps of the supply chain; finally some stress tests have been performed and results are provided at the end of this thesis work.
