Rel. Alessandro Ferrari, Paolo Ferreri. Politecnico di Torino, Master of science program in Automotive Engineering, 2020

Abstract:

The objective of the thesis will be to develop a methodology/procedure to determine the optimal parameters set of given GT-SUITE 1-D chemical models. To this end, the optimization features provided in the Isight environment (Dassault Systems/Simulia) will be explored and evaluated. The comparison of at least three optimization algorithms (e.g., genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, Nelder-Mead Simplex, ¿) will be performed in terms of both models outputs quality with respect to reference data and computational effort. The activity will focus on at least two Aftertreatment components (e.g., SCR and DOC).
