Abstract:

The study presented a new in situ green synthesis of silver nanoparticles on cotton fabric using water extract of Rhus Typhina as a reducing agent of silver nitrate. Chemical and morphological characterization of silver nanoparticles and determination of the multifunctional properties of the modified cotton samples were performed using different analytical methods, such as SEM, EDS, ICP MS, UV-Vis, UPF determination, standard microbiological method for antibacterial activity determination, colour measurement and washing durability of the coating.
