The outcome of any production process will be different even for the same product; this is due to variability of man, material, machine and method. Our focus will be on both how to control and develop the production process, so standardization of the process will be the key word to achieve both high quality and high production rate, not only that but also eliminate any assignable causes. The objective of the report is to create standardization process according to lean in order to perform tasks in optimal way. Using the case study and literature review will be able to answer the following: 1-How to standardize the production process? 2-What is the effect of standardization? 3-Does standardization always work? Results have shown the requirements for standardization of production process, methods of standardization and tools to be used. |
