Abstract
Cost target setting for a vehicle system integration In the current days, new increasingly demanding limits in legislations concerning emissions and fuel consumption are forcing carmakers to migrate towards new powertrain technologies. Battery electric vehicles are going to become dominant in the automotive market in the near future, and this represent new challenges for the product development. This thesis will be focused on the cost target setting and performance optimization for the noise insulation system in a battery electric vehicle. BEVs are bringing some notable changes in the Noise, Vibration and Harshness field, due to the absence of a conventional internal combustion engine.
It is crucial to identify possible future trends for the NVH package of electric vehicles in order to be competitive on the market on both aspects of performance and cost
