Abstract: |
Development of a local cloud system that can keep synchronized copies of files and directories between different machines based on a P2P file-sharing mechanism. This thesis project focuses on the development of a file synchronization system called myP2PSync. The system consists of a client application that allows users to benefit from the synchronization service and a tracker application that acts as coordinator for a number of cooperating peers. This distributed model, as well as the file-sharing algorithm, are strongly inspired by the famous BitTorrent protocol. |
