Abstract:

The aim is to design the steps for experimental measures of suspension components characteristics in laboratory setups. The objective of the tests is to characterise springs and dampers properties for linear and nonlinear behaviour, deriving in the case of a 1:5 scale radio commanded car model: Losi 5ive-T 2.0. The acquired characteristic data will be used to model possible lumped parameters car models to extract numerical syntheses, where the stiffness and viscosity variations of the suspensions will be explored. This solutions can ultimately be used as a basis for comparison with the data of experiments on the entire vehicle.
