The problem I am trying to solve in this paper is the development of unicorn companies in the past ten years and the situation of 70 unicorn companies in China in 2018. The results obtained in this research include the position of Chinese unicorn companies in the world, the characteristics of unicorn companies’ distribution in China, the macroeconomic environment and policy background of Chinese unicorn companies and the investment preferences and return on investment of unicorn hunters.
