Abstract
This project was conceived as an extension of a pre-existing optimization tool determining the optimal design of a multi-energy system. The tool determines the optimal selection, sizing and operation of a set of technologies to satisfy the hydrogen demand of an end-user while minimizing the total costs or CO2 emissions of the system [1]. The main goal is to include the spatial network perspective, with the aim of designing an optimal supply chain at a national scale for the use of hydrogen in the mobility sector. Concerning hydrogen production, a comparative assessment of production technologies for blue and green hydrogen, e.g.
Steam Methane Reforming and electrolysis, has been carried out
