Abstract
The thesis has the main aim to verify the possibility to exploit the Average Threshold Crossing technique application in the Muscle Synergies Analysis. It is structured in two main parts. In the first part, through the use of simulate sEMG signals, has been possible to find the best ATC parameters combination to extract an ATC signal that is very similar to the traditional sEMG envelope. In the second part, the ATC signals have been used to extract the muscle synergies using the Non-negative Matrix Factorization algorithm and the outputs have been compared with the standard ones obtained from the traditional envelopes.
