Abstract:

CardioFilo is a web application that aims to remotely monitor cardiac patients, in particular those who have been affected by heart attack and have undergone a revascularization procedure (like PCI, CABG..). The pathologies of interest for the CardioFilo project are ischemic cardiopathies and atrial fibrillation, both the most serious and most probable complications that arise after heart attack. Patients, or caregivers, can enter data on their smartphone (e.g. blood pressure, weight, drug intake..) using the CardioFilo mobile application. In this way, doctors and patients are constantly in contact so that doctors can immediately intervene if/when the data entered by patients are alarming.
