Model And Test Effectiveness Data for Space Program, Descent and Landing Demonstrator Module case.
Rel. Paolo Maggiore. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Aerospaziale, 2019
Abstract: |
Nowadays space business is characterized by growing costs and schedule constraints, often combined with a greater technical/industrial complexity. This resulting in a new challenging cut out of Assembly Integration and Verification approaches which identified needs to set up a newly process as step-stone in the development life cycle of any space system. As response to this challenging and difficult environment ESA developed the Model and Test Effectiveness Database (MATED) and its associated methodologies. MATED allows to collect data related to all space missions in an effective database that gives useful information about AIV - Assembly, Integration and Verification activity. These data can be shared with ESA partners so that testing activities can be improved, and time and development costs reduced. The object of thesis concerns the implementation of MATED and the following analysis with data from ExoMars 2016 mission, particularly from the Entry, Descent and Landing Demonstrator Module. |
