Abstract:

Automotive industry is currently looking for solutions to help people while driving. All these systems integrate several technologies subjected to increasing risk of failures and therefore OEMs need to implement safe system development processes. ISO26262 provides guidance for safe system development processes and requirements for achieve an acceptable level of safety. The purpose of this thesis in conjunction with MCA Engineering is to study the world of ADAS and, starting from the concept phase of a safe system development, the object is to analyze a forward collision mitigation system and some possible faults which can appear in a AEB system.
